2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Hourli.ME:

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you register or sign in with Google.
• Profile information: Business name, phone number, address, and website — only if you choose to enter them in your Profile.
• Time tracking data: Session records including clock-in/out times, break times, notes, and associated client and project names.
• Client information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses of clients you add to the app.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as browser type and device type, collected automatically by Firebase hosting infrastructure.

We do not collect payment information, social security numbers, or any government-issued identification.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Hourli.ME application.
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
• Sync your data across your devices in real time.
• Generate invoices and reports based on your time tracking data.
• Send important service notifications (we do not send marketing emails).

4. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database platform operated by Google LLC. Your data is:

• Encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL.
• Stored in Google's secure cloud infrastructure.
• Isolated per user — no user can access another user's data.
• Subject to Google's security and compliance standards.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. Period.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• Google Firebase: Our infrastructure provider, used solely to store and sync your data.
• Google Authentication: If you sign in with Google, your basic profile information is shared with us by Google per their OAuth process.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
• Export: You can download all your data using the Backup function in Settings at any time.
• Correction: You can update or correct your data directly within the app.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@hourli.me. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

Hourli.ME is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us to request deletion.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Hourli.ME does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Firebase may use limited technical cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not display advertisements and do not use ad tracking technologies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
